You would be forgiven for thinking that Sanders or one of his aides has read Piketty's book and that the Senator from Vermont was acquainted with Modern Monetary Theory aka MMT. As would an MMTer, he excoriates, albeit within the limits of committee conventions, the Republican position on the economy and how economic difficulties facing the US ought to be dealt with.
 
I believe this to be a must watch. The issues Sanders points to are virtually the same as those facing us here. There is no substantial difference. I believe we must take Sanders' comments as a warning.
