Hi all,

apologies for cross-posting - please see below an opening for two postdocs at UCL. I would be grateful if you can forward to interested colleagues.

Best regards,
Yiannis.

===================

At the Communications and Information Systems Group (CISG) at EEE UCL we are looking for two talented post-doctoral researchers to join our team, as part of our H2020 and EPSRC-funded projects.

Our current projects focus on innovative Information-Centric Networking architectures and investigate this future networking paradigm from several different angles. We aim to design and develop a communication and information infrastructure for both mobile, opportunistic communication environments, but also for fixed networks. As such, expertise and implementation experience in any of the following areas is highly relevant: opportunistic/mobile communications, DTNs, routing and resource management, congestion control, traffic engineering.

The positions offer the opportunity for cutting-edge research in the field of Information-Centric Networking and Network Management.

- Both positions are available immediately for one year and possibility of further extension for another 2 years after that period.
-- The starting date is flexible but it is expected that the candidate will be able to start not later than June 2015.
- The post is Grade 7, starting salary £33,353 per annum and maximum salary £40,313 per annum, both including London Allowance which is currently £2,919 per annum. The exact salary is dependent on qualifications and experience.
- Successful candidates are required to relocate to London.
- The group operates based on flexible working hours.

- The deadline for applications is the 29/03/2015.

The requirements for both positions are:

- PhD in Computer Science, Electrical/Computer Engineering, or a related field.

- Strong software design/implementation and prototyping skills

- Background and/or hands-on experience in any of the following areas:
-- Information-Centric Networks
-- Software-Defined Networks
-- Opportunistic, Delay-Tolerant Networks
-- Traffic engineering, resource management and congestion control

- Algorithm design skills

- Strong publication record

The application should include:
- a short cover letter indicating the candidate's research interests, achievements to date and vision for the future,
- CV including list of publications,
- contact details of two/three referees.

Interested applicants are encouraged to make informal enquiries about the post to Dr. Ioannis Psaras ([log in to unmask]<mailto:[log in to unmask]>), or Prof. George Pavlou ([log in to unmask]<mailto:[log in to unmask]>). Shortlisted candidates will be invited for an interview shortly after the application deadline.
