Dear all,

The Horniman Museum and Gardens have been selected by the Art Fund – Art Happens crowdfunding platform to raise funds for an exhibition featuring our collections and the work of painter Mark Fairnington later this year http://www.markfairnington.com/. In return for donations, supporters receive wonderful rewards, these include limited-edition prints, books and bags, as well as a chance to meet Mark behind the scenes.

If anyone else out there has used this type of fundraising model for Natural History projects, we would love to hear from you (preferably offline), so that we can compile a blogpost about our collective experiences of using this type of approach and share this with our colleagues.

We only have 4 weeks left to reach our total, so if you can help spread the word, we’d be extremely grateful.

More information can be found on the Art Happens site, the Art Fund’s twitter page and the Horniman’s twitter and website.

Many thanks, Jo
