Adjunct Faculty Member in Experimental Physical Chemistry

The Department of Chemistry at Emory University is seeking an adjunct faculty member to teach and manage the undergraduate physical chemistry laboratory course for the 2015/2016 academic year. Applicants should have a Ph.D. in chemistry or a related area with research experience in experimental physical chemistry.  Teaching responsibilities will include a 1-hour laboratory lecture per week, office hours, grading of laboratory reports, maintenance of and setup of laboratory equipment, and graduate teaching assistant training.  A commitment to undergraduate teaching is required, as are excellent interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills. 

 

Qualified candidates may be offered full-time (temporary visiting) status. Temporary visiting positions are for a one-year appointment with the possibility of reappointment for two additional years.
