We are pleased to announce that 6^th CSJ-RSC Joint Symposium – Advanced Measurements for Chemistry will be held on March 26^th 9:00-17:00 at Session room S5 (Rm1423, Bldg #14), Nihon University, Funabashi, Japan.

The Chemical Society of Japan (CSJ) and Royal Society of Chemistry (RSC) have collaborated on several successful joint activities in recent years including five symposia (2007 in Osaka, 2008 in Belfast, 2010 in London, 2013 in Kyoto and 2014 in Dublin). 

As part of the symposium in London in 2010 an International Co-operation agreement was signed between the two societies.

In 2015 the CSJ and RSC are organising a 6th Joint symposium between the CSJ and RSC in Funabashi, Japan on the topic of “Advanced Measurements for Chemistry”. 

This joint symposium will take place during the 95^th Chemical Society of Japan annual meeting.

 Speakers and titles of the talks are as follows.

• Steve Meech (University of East Anglia) - Ultrafast Studies of Reactive Dynamics by 1 and 2D Spectroscopy      

• Tahei Tahara (RIKEN) - Femtosecond Time-Resolved Impulsive Stimulated Raman Spectroscopy of Complex Molecular Systems

• Karen Faulds (University of Strathclyde) - Multiplexed and Quantitative Bioanalysis using Surface Enhanced Raman Spectroscopy (SERS)   

• Takayuki Uchihashi (Kanazawa University) - Chemical Evolution in Star and Planet Formation

• Joshua Edel (Imperial College London) - Novel Strategies in Single Molecule Sensing   

• Hirokazu Tada (Osaka University) - Carrier Transport in Single Molecules  

• Jonathan Reid (Bristol University) - New Analytical Tools for Aerosol Particle 

• Nami Sakai (The University of Tokyo) - Chemical Evolution in Star and Planet Formation
