Subject: Call for abstracts for MIST Open Session at NAM (Deadline 1st April)

Dear colleagues,

This year’s MIST out-of-town meeting will be held at NAM, the National Astronomy Meeting, which is being held in Llandudno from 5th-9th July.

In addition to the cross-disciplinary sessions between MIST and UKSP and/or the astronomy community (see below), there will also be the Open Session on Magnetospheric, Ionospheric and Solar-Terrestrial physics which is intended to cover all areas of MIST science. Abstract submission is now open. You can submit your abstract via the NAM web page:

http://nam2015.org/

Please note, the abstract submission deadline is 1st April. Also, the abstract submission form requires your abstract to be under 250 words.

The following cross-disciplinary sessions will also be of interest to members of the MIST community:

Comets: Rosetta results and related science

Comparative Planetology

The Sun, its Influence on the Heliosphere and the Role of the Solar Orbiter Mission

Magnetic fields of planets and cool stars

Magnetic Flux Ropes from the Sun to the Heliosphere

Energetic Particles in the Heliosphere: from the Sun to Planetary Atmospheres

Solar wind initiation, evolution, and interplanetary consequences

The science of space weather: progressing our understanding

Best regards,

Rob
