An interesting opportunity has arisen for a band 6 Outreach Librarian to join Library and Knowledge Services at Central and North West London NHS Foundation Trust. The Trust provides mental health and community health services for people, covering a number of London boroughs and the Milton Keynes area. We are looking for an energetic and proactive librarian, preferably with training and literature searching experience, to deliver and promote services to users working at a distance from physical library sites.
As part of the wider CNWL library team you will assist in delivering services to community based staff: in-depth literature searches and finding the evidence at the point of need; a range of information literacy skills training programmes delivered on the workplace; tailored current awareness services and information consultancy. You will promote and market services, and facilitate access to networked and web-based resources for all users.
You will be working with library staff to implement the Trust’s Library Strategy. The library service has three library hubs (St Charles Hospital, Ladbroke Grove; Gordon Hospital, Victoria; Kingswood LD Centre, Kingsbury). The library staff work closely with NHS library colleagues across London.
