Announcement: Healthcare databases from ProQuest now available!

Authorised users can search and access the nationally purchased journals and databases from the Journals and Databases page at NICE Evidence Search www.evidence.nhs.uk


We’re delighted to announce that as of today, you now have access to a comprehensive range of medical resources which include:

ProQuest Hospital Collection: A comprehensive source of health and medical research with deep coverage in nursing, medicine, psychology, family medicine and health management. This database features over 5,000 journals, including the New England Journal of Medicine, and The Lancet, plus full-text grey literature not easily accessible elsewhere including dissertations, conference proceedings, working papers and ebooks.

MEDLINE: Over 23 million citations and abstracts, providing unparalleled access to worldwide biomedical literature. Coverage is derived from thousands of biomedical and life science journals, and indexed with Medical Subject Headings (MeSH®) from the NLM controlled vocabulary. Extending back to 1946, annual input now exceeds 700,000 citations.

British Nursing Index (BNI): A nursing and midwifery database compiled by professional librarians, covering over 400 UK journals.

PsycINFO®: This resource published by the American Psychological Association is an electronic bibliographic database of scholarly literature in the field of psychology and behavioural sciences.

PsycARTICLES®: This database of of full-text articles from journals published by the American Psychological Association, the APA Educational Publishing Foundation, the Canadian Psychological Association, and Hogrefe & Huber.
