Due to the forthcoming retirement of our Clinical/Outreach Librarian, we are now recruiting to the following post:

 

Clinical/Outreach Librarian, 26hpw (permanent) – Doncaster & Bassetlaw Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, Knowledge, Library & Information Services – Grade 8 (Doncaster Council). Job Reference DON/15/0245

 

Required from 18.05.2015 and working 26hpw, we are looking for an enthusiastic and suitably qualified and experienced individual to contribute to the delivery of a comprehensive and high quality knowledge and library service at Doncaster and Bassetlaw Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.

 

As a member of the Knowledge & Library Service team, your role will be to provide a Clinical and Outreach knowledge and library service to the staff and students of Doncaster and Bassetlaw Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. We also provide knowledge and library services to other NHS organisations from our libraries at Doncaster Royal Infirmary and Bassetlaw Hospital.

 

We recently achieved 98% compliance for the second year running with the NHS LQAF (Library Quality Assurance Framework) and are seeking to maintain and further increase this excellent score.

 

You will work closely with your colleagues in delivering a high quality service to both clinical and corporate staff and develop and maintain an excellent working relationship with other colleagues in the Education, Training, Research and ICT departments at the Trust.

 

We are looking for an individual with excellent communication and organisational skills who has the ability to organise their own workload, plan, prioritise and meet deadlines. You should have experience of literature searching, delivering current awareness services and planning, delivering e-resource training. Knowledge and experience of using healthcare resources and the NICE Evidence portal is essential.

 

You will be based primarily at Bassetlaw Hospital, Worksop but will also be expected to work at other sites as required, especially at Doncaster Royal Infirmary. The Trust provides regular shuttle bus services between its sites. The role also involves being able to cover the library at Bassetlaw Hospital in the absence of other staff.
