There are several official and civil society side events addressing the human rights of women and girls with disabilities.

Women Enabled International remains concerned that the Beijing+20 process will not address the human rights of women and girls with disabilities. Our look at a small sample of the country reports prepared by governments tells us the harsh truth that most governments completely failed to address women and girls with disabilities in their country reports to UN Women.

* <http://womenenabled.us3.list-manage.com/track/click?u=9dfe19d1e6db65f1a6409b5e2&id=f8a3e81404&e=a21f8bdfe5> Download and read our review of a small sample of country reports.

Beijing+20 is a process to assess how far Member States and other stakeholders have come in implementing the commitments made at the <http://womenenabled.us3.list-manage1.com/track/click?u=9dfe19d1e6db65f1a6409b5e2&id=e66889ecfc&e=a21f8bdfe5> Fourth World Conference on Women in Beijing, China in 1995. The UN called upon all States to undertake comprehensive national-level <http://womenenabled.us3.list-manage.com/track/click?u=9dfe19d1e6db65f1a6409b5e2&id=852725db63&e=a21f8bdfe5> reviews of the progress made and challenges encountered in the implementation of the <http://womenenabled.us3.list-manage2.com/track/click?u=9dfe19d1e6db65f1a6409b5e2&id=ca7bb108ba&e=a21f8bdfe5> Beijing Declaration and Platform For Action and the outcomes of the twenty-third special session of the General Assembly.

However, without data on and analysis of the situation of women and girls with disabilities, the CSW59 will fail to monitor, review and appraise progress achieved and problems encountered in implementing the Beijing Declaration and Platform for Action as they relate to women and girls with disabilities, despite the fact that world leaders have committed to 12 critical areas of concern.

A discussion of the Beijing+20 critical areas of concern regarding the rights of women and girls with disabilities, as enumerated in the Beijing Declaration and the CRPD, must have a prominent place in country reports by governments and the CSW59 Beijing+20 review Process.

*	Tell your governments participating in CSW59 that women and girls with disabilities demand a place at the table at CSW59 and the Beijing+20 process.

Women Enabled International will be there advocating for our inclusion. We will not be ignored! Join us. Women with disabilities are women, too! We look forward to working together at CSW59.
