One Postdoc position in Protein X-ray Crystallography is available in Dr. Yongcheng Song's laboratory at Baylor College of Medicine, Houston, Texas (one of the top medical schools/universities in USA, https://www.bcm.edu/about-us). The successful candidate is expected to have strong expertise (>5 years experience including PhD studies) and a track record of publications in the field. One critical requirement is he/she can work independently to perform protein crystallization with small molecule ligands/inhibitors, X-ray diffraction, data collection and structural refinement. Basic molecular biology/biochemistry techniques (cloning, construction of protein expression plasmids, western blot, etc) are required. The main duties are to obtain X-ray crystal structures of biologically important proteins with novel small molecule inhibitors.
