Two comments, 1) a while ago John announced that there were some improvements with SPM12 resulting in a more robust coreg step within segmentation, thus manual/automatic reorientation *might* not be necessary any more. 2) as the question was about setting origins to AC, as far as I can see the attached script won't exactly reorient to AC because it relies on the avg152T1.nii - in which the origin is shifted to some extent relative to AC. This is as expected as the templates are in MNI space, which differs from the Talairach space to some extent (only for the latter origin = AC, orientation according to AC-PC). For manual reorientation it is nonetheless common to reorient volumes accoring to AC, AC-PC because it's much easier to execute when reling on some anatomical landmarks. Best, Helmut
