Einstein’s Garden is advertising for a Communications and Administration Manager to be responsible for communications and production administration for the creative science engagement projects produced by Einstein’s Garden both within the Green Man Festival and in other cultural contexts. We are looking for a multi skilled person to take on a variety of different tasks.

Salary:

£11,200 (£28,000 pro rata)

Contract:

Part time, 2 days per week (0.4 FTE) and fixed term for 2.5 years

Person Specification:

·       Experience of devising and implementing communications/PR/marketing strategies

·       Experience of devising and implementing administrative processes and systems

·       Experience of copywriting, writing mail outs and updating web content

·       Experience of using social media in a strategic way

·       Experience of working with the press and media

·       Experience of working within a team and collaborating with external partners

·       Experience of working within arts, cultural and/or creative science engagement contexts

·       Excellent written and verbal communication skills

·       Excellent organisation and administration skills

·       Excellent web and digital skills

·       Excellent copywriting skills, attention to detail and accuracy

Nestled at the heart of the Green Man Festival, Einstein’s Garden is a fusion of science, art and nature. Our diverse programme of events, activities and experiences use creativity, play and participation to engage people with science in unexpected ways. In addition to our curated programme of work at Green Man, Einstein’s Garden is also a creative producer of innovative science engagement projects, facilitating partnerships and collaborations with scientists, arts practitioners, universities, research organisations and cultural organisations. Einstein’s Garden projects are delivered both within the Green Man Festival and in other cultural contexts. The Wellcome Trust recently awarded Einstein’s Garden a grant for the continued production of new projects over the next three years.
