Why involve volunteers?

 

Suitable for those new to recruiting volunteers for fundraising and also those with some experience of recruiting, supporting and developing volunteers to fund raise, who want the opportunity to discuss key issues and share experiences with other heritage organisations.

Aim: Provide heritage organisations with the confidence and skills to build and manage a successful volunteer fundraising team.

  • Volunteers Wanted - best practice in the recruitment and selection of volunteers
  • Roles and responsibilities
  • How to identify and plan potential volunteer fundraising activities
  • Managing, supporting and developing volunteers - induction training support and supervision 
  • Group development
  • Managing high performing volunteer fundraising teams
  • The opportunity to hear from WCVA's volunteering team about grants available to develop volunteering in your organisation
  • Facilitated networking

Learning outcomes
By attending this course you will be able to:

  • Develop effective plans to recruit new volunteer fundraisers and retain, value and motivate existing volunteers
  • How to ensure a successful volunteering opportunity for both the volunteer and organisation
  • Plan a programme of volunteer fundraising activities
  • Opportunity to discuss key issues and share experiences with other heritage organisaions
