We are recruiting a Quantitative Researcher to join our team at HeLEX.



Quantitative Researcher - Social Science

NDPH, Old Road Campus, Headington, Oxford

Grade 7: £30,434 - £37,394 p.a.

The Nuffield Department of Population Health contains world renowned population health research groups and provides an excellent environment for multi-disciplinary research and teaching. Based within NDPH, the Centre for Health, Law and Emerging Technologies (HeLEX) specialises in investigating the relationships between law, governance and practice in the area of emerging technologies in health. Its main themes are: governance of research infrastructures such as biobanks; public engagement and information governance.

As Quantitative Researcher you will design, execute, analyse and publish survey findings in a number of key areas around the research that HeLEX carries out. In particular, you will advise on a survey that will be carried out in relation to a project focussed on diabetes and stratified medicine.

To be considered for this role you will have a graduate degree (in either social science, ethics, policy or law) and experience of designing, conducting and analysing surveys. You will also require experience in obtaining research ethics committee approvals, experience writing academic papers for publication and strong communication and presentation skills.

The post is offered full-time for a fixed-term of 2 years and will be based at the Old Road Campus, Headington, Oxford.
