CALL FOR PAPERS Space and Place in European Cinema 2015 European Cinema Research Forum Annual Conference Huston School of Film & Digital Media National University of Ireland, Galway 7th – 8th July 2015 Confirmed Keynote: Professor Victor Burgin The 15th European Cinema Research Forum invites proposals exploring any aspect of space and place in European cinema. Contributions from the realm of practice-based research are particularly welcome. Possible topics include, but are not limited to, the practice or representation of space and place in European cinema in relation to questions of: · Architecture and environment · Genders, sexualities and/or ethnicities · National/transnational cinemas · Film aesthetics and the production of place · Film production/technologies and/or media policy · Soundscapes · Changing spaces of reception/exhibition Proposals may be in the form of an abstract for an individual paper or a panel suggestion (3x20 minute papers).
