CILIP Conference Bursaries

 

The Health Libraries Group (HLG) is pleased to offer seven bursary places to HLG members/students to attend this year’s CILIP Conference in St George’s Hall, Liverpool - Thursday, 2 July 2015 - to Friday, 3 July 2015

This will include:

 

· A complimentary place on both days of the conference

· Attendance at the drinks reception at the Museum of Liverpoolon Thursday 2 July

· up to £200 towards travel and accommodation.

 

The CILIP Conference replaces the Umbrella conference and will be an annual event. The conference aims to “inspire our audience, share knowledge and raise debate, as well as offer networking opportunities throughout the conference.”

HLG are keen to support people who might not normally have the opportunity to attend the conference. Priority will be given to first time attendees, in particular newly qualified professionals and staff working in a non-professional role. The successful applicants will be expected to be active at the conference, for example by tweeting so that members unable to attend can follow the event and will be required to write about their experience for the HLG newsletter or website.

There is no application form. Applications should include your CV along with a personal statement of no more than 500 words, outlining why you would like to attend and how you will share your conference experience with others.
