Since modernity women have played a key role in literary translation practice, whether or not being fully acknowledged. This panel will aim at mapping the presence of women translators of modern and classical languages, and their contribution to the contemporary literary debate. It will consider the ways in which women enter the dialogue with established translations as well as male translators.
