These photos and hundreds of others are among the first batch of pictures uploaded to the web by the Canada Mortgage and Housing Corporation, which is digitizing its vast archives documenting post-war housing and neighbourhoods in Canada. Eventually, CMHC will make the full collection publicly available, offering a fascinating window on the way Canada looked in the 1950s, ’60s, ’70s and ’80s.
