Please see below the programme of thought provoking events from 2nd to 9th March, do feel free to attend/ share via your networks!

 

·         'Women in Mind’: an interactive workshop offered by the Department of Psychology, which will provide you with an interactive forum to discuss the psychology of the ‘femme fatale’ character in films such as Gone Girl and Fatal Attraction. Participants will also be introduced to the Bechdel test for evaluating gender bias in films and fiction.

As part of the International Women's week at the University of Westminster "Women in Science", this seminar will address sexism in science. Our speaker Connie St Louis will share her story of being a woman in the world of science journalism

Time: from 1:30 pm to 5 pm

 

Listen to the life and career journeys of some of the leading UK ladies in STEMM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics and Medicine) and get the opportunity to network and debate with fellow staff members and students!

 

There is an exciting and inspirational line-up of speakers including:

 

-          Professor Jane Clarke - Department of Chemistry, University of Cambridge

-          Professor Annie Bligh - Head of Life Sciences department, FST

-          Nancy Honey -photograph and author of the ‘100 leading Ladies’ book

-          Terry Marsh, ex- CEO of WISE (and one of the above 100 leading ladies!)
