Dear colleagues, I am updating an article about polled cattle in the Netherlands for a journal of the livestock sector. In the Netherlands it is a phenomenon typical of the Roman period that occurred particularly in the coastal area outside the Roman border. To put it in a (north-west) European context, I am searching for papers about the occurrence (or absence) of polledness in other countries in pre-modern times. I have papers of e.g. Ambros 1988, Behrens 1964, Harcour 1979, Müller 1963, Weaver & Ford 2004 and Fredrikson et al. 2004. But perhaps some of you have recently written a nice overview including this subject. I'm very interested! Thank you and all the best, Roel Lauwerier ..................................................................................
