Hi there
Some late Friday nighters have made us aware that they would prefer a slightly later start - so mindful that not everyone is an early riser:
CHANGE OF START: Lie in for an extra 30 minutes and then come for a Ruskin Walk: Sheltering Shoreditch and 'makery' workshop 10.30am - 1.30pm Saturday 7 February Geffrye Museum, London E2 8EA
- Eclectic day full of inspiring ideas and surprising connections.
- Good way to spend Saturday morning: bit of architecture, bit of drawing, bit of Ruskin, bit of design ‘puzzling’. Fab!
Join Martin Fidler and Andrew Stuck on a walk of discovery around the streets surrounding the Geffrye Museum you will be using different analytical techniques that John Ruskin would have used to explore local housing in its social and historical context. The walk will include visits to ‘Unto this Last‘, a premises making furniture and serving hot drinks before taking part in a ‘Makery‘ workshop in the Geffrye Museum studios. The walk and ‘makery’ workshop take place on John Ruskin’s birthday anniversary weekend. Join us on the 7 February for a whole new adventure revealing Ruskin's views on housing and how Shoreditch has provided shelter for centuries.
Do please spread the word.
Best wishes, Andrew & Martin
