Very sad news indeed. I learnt so much from Ernie’s work. Those of us working with friends in AA might want to remember one of Ernie’s suggestions that people
write a history of their home AA groups.

Sad news of the death of Ernie Kurtz. Ernie was probably the most thoughtful and most truthful chronicler of Alcoholics Anonymous. His book, Not God: A History of Alcoholics Anonymous was a milestone publication in the study of recovery
