I would like to know that, in case of stimulations with unsharp transitions (eg smell or taste, which needs time to remove residual rather than having a sharp ON-off cut), is it possible to cut away a few scans during specify 1st level? So that I can ensure baseline is not contaminated.

If so, should I cut the scans right at the beginning before pre-processing? Or at specify 1st level step? Thanks a lot in advance.
