I'm pleased to share an invitation from the ARA's Chair of Records Management and Information Governance:

Dear Colleague

As part of the Archives and Records Association’s Don’t Risk It! Know Your Records campaign an event is being held at the headquarters of KPMG in London on 18 February.

Invitations to this event have already been sent out to key decision makers in the UK across the public and private sectors and we are now looking to broaden the invitation to practising recordkeeping professionals. We hope this will provide a fantastic opportunity to bring together decision makers and practitioners to listen to thought provoking presentations on the value of records management.

The speakers for the event are Graham Smith (the UK's Deputy Information Commissioner and Director of Freedom of Information), Stephen Bonner (Partner, KPMG), Deirdre Allison and Gillian Acheson (Belfast Health and Social Care Trust). We will hear about examples of poor practice, how organisations can improve, and the legislative responsibilities organisations are subject to.

The free event will take place at the London HQ of KPMG from 10am to 1pm. If you would like to attend please email [log in to unmask] to book a place.
