Perth and Kinross Council would very much like to make contact with local authorities which have carried out e-working programmes over the past 5 years.

Particularly of interest are those which have done this on a limited budget and those which have made the change explicitly as part of cost cutting exercises.

As many local authorities in Scotland, Perth and Kinross Council is in some ways at the beginning of an austerity curve already followed by authorities in England and Wales and we are keen to learn what we can from those who have travelled this road ahead of us.

To offer some context, we have already made some progress in the areas of paper storage rationalisation, business-focussed back scanning and EDMS (including retention) in SharePoint.

Ideally, over the coming couple of months we would very much like to visit a small number of authorities which have enjoyed success in making the transition to inform our Executive level decisions from the offset.
