Dear all,

Forgive a personal note in a work space.

As a small child I lived in India. When we went shopping in the market we would pass folk begging, many with the terrible signs and scars of leprosy. As a child I would stare, fascinated by the lost finger-tips and toes, until hurried along by my parents. Leprosy is decreasing but still all too common. Campaigning information can be seen here: https://www.lepra.org.uk/world-leprosy-day . Our piece about the role of Armadillos in leprosy research is here: http://www.understandinganimalresearch.org.uk/news/staff-blog/armadillos-roll-out-treatments-for-leprosy/

All the best,

Richard
