It is designed to support people in work with health conditions and to help with sickness absence. Fit for Work is intended to complement, existing occupational health provision. I believe that this is in response to the change’s to GP fit –notes which haven’t necessary been used to their full advantage. It also assists with documentation, advice for health surveillance and pre-employment screening. The is also a free advice line run by specialists.
