Suitably qualified candidates are invited to apply for this CASE studentship: a collaboration between the Faculty of Health and Medicine at Lancaster University, and Manchester Mental Health and Social Care Trust. The studentship covers full fees plus a generous stipend and a small contribution for research costs. 

We are looking for a highly motivated, intelligent and creative graduate interested in exploring inspiration in bipolar disorder. This is core emotional-motivational process which underpins creativity, a highly valued positive experience in this mental health condition. You must have a minimum of 1st or first degree in psychology or related discipline, or a high 2:1 and a Masters level qualification including research methods. You must have an interest in how advancing psychological knowledge in this area can inform the development of better interventions for bipolar disorder, and be highly competent in qualitative and quantitative methods. The post is based at the Spectrum Centre for Mental Health Research in the Faculty of Health and Medicine at Lancaster University (www.spectrumcentre.org), and part time in Manchester Mental Health and Social Care Trust. 

The studentship will be supervised by a team lead by Professor Steven Jones at Lancaster University and Prof Damien Longson at Manchester Mental Health and Social Care Trust.
