Digital Literacy – librarians, staff and students – where are we now?

Are we supporting our own and the digital literacy of users as technology and education moves forward apace? In the morning, Charlie Inskip (Department of Information Studies, UCL) will give us an overview on evolving digital literacy competencies, and Sally Patalong (Coventry University) will talk us through making sure that library staff are equipped and skilled themselves in order to support users. In the afternoon Anthony Beal from JISC will reveal how we can tell if our users are digitally literate and Helen Blanchett (Newcastle University) will lead a workshop on helping us to develop practical skills and solutions. Dan Heath (Grwp Llandrillo Menai) will round off the afternoon to put digital literacy into a context of e-safety and considering our digital footprint. The day includes a workshop and plenty of opportunities for networking and questions.
