Hi Jane,

The Museums Association recently made this the focus of Museum Practice.  Lots of information  (inc case studies) available here: http://www.museumsassociation.org/museum-practice/supplementary-schools

Best wishes,
Amy

Dear GEM

The Museum of London is about to set up a new programme for Supplementary Schools, their teachers, pupils and families. I’m undertaking  the pre-project research. To do this, I’d like to find out about projects that other museums have done with these schools.  (To save colleagues time: I already have the details of the work done in this area by the British Museum, and I’m in contact with them and the National Resources Centre for Supplementary Education.)

If your museum has run a project for Supplementary Schools or you know of a museum who has:

·         What was the project?  What made it successful? What were the lessons for future work with supplementary schools?

·         Was there CPD / training offered within the project for Supplementary School teachers?  What did this consist of?

·         Pitfalls? How can MoL avoid these?

If it’s quicker, just send reports.

Please send responses to [log in to unmask]  Happy to collate and share results.

Thank you

Jane
