I doubt that will make much of a difference. TE, b-value, directions, etc. are more important as far as consistency goes. Particularly if there is only a range of 200ms (or did you mean 2000ms?)

Subject: [FSL] TR in DTI Sequence

Dear FSL,

I have a question regarding the TR for DTI sequences. Is it important that the TR is set to an exact value for all participants (ie. "user defined" versus set to "shortest"). I have collected data and the TR's range between 1500ms – 1700ms across participants, and my question is whether there is reason to believe that this cannot be used in the same dataset. All other parameters (voxel size, number of slices, bval, diffusion directions etc.) were the same across all participants.

Any advice will be very much appreciated!

Kind regards,
Kristin Koller
