Accepting that the child is neat, maybe some (pencil) numbering? –either documents or boxes?
Also maybe tidying books and leaflets in the search room

Subject: Suitable archival task for a 12 year old?
Dear colleagues,
I have been asked to give a day's work experience to a colleague's 12 year old son. I have no experience working with children of this age so I am rather flummoxed at what to give
him to do. If anyone could suggest any suitable archival tasks or activities for him I would be very grateful!
Many thanks,
Vicky
