Job: Statistician - Advanced Analytics & Consulting Location: Hazelwood near Derby, Derbyshire The Lubrizol Corporation, part of the multi-billion dollar Berkshire Hathaway group, is an innovative specialty chemical company that produces and supplies technologies that improve the quality and performance of our customers' products in the global transportation, industrial and consumer markets. The European Marketing and Technical Centre is based in a rural setting at Hazelwood, eight miles from Derby City Centre. The Statistical Sciences Department is currently seeking applications for an MSc/PhD Statistician. Statistical Sciences provides data-driven systems and consulting services to the global technology and product development community at Lubrizol. Some specific activities include creation of predictive models, developing and maintaining data-driven systems, designing and analysing experiments and performing general data analyses. A major activity within the group is the development and deployment of a global formulation prediction system known as Q.LIFE(r). As a Statistician, you will be responsible for: - * Active involvement in Lubrizol's analytics efforts. Create high quality predictive models from complex data.
