Dear all,

We've recently moved from pancreatic amylase (Beckman) to total amylase
(Olympus AU) and reflex a lipase when total amylase is raised. We're
seeing a few more discrepant results than we'd expect - with lipase
undetectable when total amylase is approx. 100-250 U/L (Ref <100). So
far all have seemed that the amylase is the more plausible result with
clinical details being abdominal pain. Has anyone else seen this?
