One thought. When your TT officers change a block on the TT mid-year they are only changing it from the date that the change has taken place and not from the start of
the year. Occasionally this happens here and it then reports all the previously taken registers as missing.

I’ve only been here for just over a year but timetabling/registers hasn’t been as smooth as I’m used to previously – and as you know, once the term starts and you’re playing catchup, it’s difficult. Having a
new system to use aswell adds to the complexity (teaching Staff using it and us understanding how it works) but we’re getting there.

Thanks Robert – it’s good to know we’re not alone! It feels like a bit of a faff to me – shouldn’t really happen like this. Compass have said that they have a development request to provide a bit more of a rigid
link but it’s not on their immediate agenda.

Same thing happens here. We have just got used to it and force staff to keep their TT’s up to date. We do still get a handful of individual registers that report as
missing but tutors know to contact us and we adjust the TT. If it’s more than a single session then the onus is then passed to the tutor to organise for the TT to be adjusted.
Sorry it’s not a solution.

Hi all, we’ve got a bit of a problem at the moment with the classification of a “missed register” and wanted to see if anyone else has the same/thoughts.
An example is a register schedule showing a start time of 11:15am:
However, when the register is marked the session time is changed slightly to 11:00am
According to Compass, because the date and time no longer match, it shows as a missed register.
There is a setting which only shows missed registers since the last marked register – but we have a situation whereby registers from previous months still need to be marked – so that’s not an option for us at the moment.
Just wondered if this was a similar query with anyone else or if anyone has tackled it successfully?
