Dear Friends and Colleagues, As Chairman of the meeting, I warmly invite your participation in the Gordon Conference on Dynamics at Surfaces <http://www.grc.org/programs.aspx?id=11342> taking place August 9-14 2015 Newport Rhode Island (Salve Regine University). Formal application can be carried out online here <http://www.grc.org/application.aspx>. Also note the Graduate Research Seminar: Exploring Interactions at Surfaces, from Scattering Dynamics to Heterogeneous Catalysis <http://www.grc.org/programs.aspx?id=14705> August 8-9 2015 especially meant for students and post-docs. Program - *Keynote Session: Time-Resolved Dynamics at Surfaces* (*Martin Wolf* / Claus Ropers / Sylvie Rokie) - *Dynamics of Chemical Reactions at Surfaces* (*Greg Sitz* / Donghui Zhang / Rainer Beck / Hua Guo) - *From Surface Dynamics to Heterogeneous Catalysis* (*Scott Anderson* / Ulrich Heiz / Swetlana Schauermann) - *Dynamics at Liquid, Polymer, Membrane, and Biological Interfaces* (*Bruce Kay* / William Hase / Gilbert Nathanson / Ellen Backhus) - *Dynamics of Adsorbate Self-Assembly and Motorics* (*Andrew Gellmann* / E. Charles H. Sykes / Karl-Heinz Ernst) - *Surface Dynamics of Energy Conversion Processes* (*Daniel Auerbach* / Xueming Yang / Natalia Garcia Rey / Jan Rossmeisl) - *Single Molecule Forces and Dynamics* (*Klaus Kern* / Harald Brune / Sharani Roy) - *Electron Dynamics at Surfaces and Non-Adiabaticity* (*John Tully* / Oliver Buenermann / Maite Alducin Ochoa / Reinhard Maurer) - *Computational Dynamics and Surface Chemistry* (*Matthias Scheffler* / Axel Gross / Alexander Tkatchenko) The Gordon Conference on Dynamics at Surfaces <http://www.grc.org/programs.aspx?id=11342> is a meeting held every two years attended by leading experimental and theoretical researchers studying the behavior of molecules interacting with liquid and solid surfaces, as well as phenomena at the liquid-solid interface. Examples of featured topics include: energy conversion processes at interfaces; dynamics of heterogeneous catalysis; dynamics at polymer, membranes and biological interfaces; growth and self-assembly at surfaces; computational approaches to dynamics at surfaces, ultra-fast electron dynamics at interfaces, state-to-state scattering, chemical reaction dynamics, non-adiabatic effects in reactive and inelastic scattering of molecules from surfaces, single molecule dynamics at surfaces, surface photochemistry, and dynamics at soft (e.g. water) interfaces. The conference brings together investigators from a variety of scientific disciplines including chemistry, physics, materials science, geology, biophysics, and astronomy. The conference will be preceded by a Gordon Research Seminar for young researchers (graduate students and post-docs). -- Prof. Alec M.
