Dear Sam

I have a Kobo and that can read ebooks that I borrow from my local public libraries e book collection (its really good and includes Lee Childs, Terry Pratchett and John Grisham books). This might be a project you can work on with your local public library, and they would be pleased to do some great outreach work.

Best wishes

Sarah

Hi,

I have a kindle, too. I think it might be possible if you set up an account for each kindle and then download the books to each individual kindle.. I had an idea - you could have a 'crime' kindle, or a 'romance' kindle or a 'thriller' kindle, or you could just download the same set of books onto each kindle, but you would have to purchase them separately each time.

You can move books from one kindle to another, but I've only done this in the context of moving my books from my first kindle to my new upgraded second-hand kindle (thanks to my generous sister-in-law who gave me her kindle 4 when she upgraded to a Paperwhite). I had to register the new kindle to my account, and my sister-in-law had to de-register it before I could do so.

I'd be interested to know how you get on.

Laura

Subject: kindle question

Hi - can anyone offer me any advice on the question below? (I have a kindle myself, but am not sure how to offer institutional access - or would they be better off setting up a new account or two?)

"I have a patient's family who wish to donate money for equipment / service development on Dove Ward. It has been suggested that we purchase some Kindles and download books. Do you have any facilities to download books from Amazon or other sites, in the library, that could then be loaded onto the Kindles? This is the main obstacle in getting this off the ground."

Thanks
Sam
