Brighton and Sussex NHS Library and Knowledge Service is looking for candidates to fill three vacant posts in the New Year.  This is a great opportunity to join an innovative and well-regarded library and knowledge service and use your information skills to improve patient care.

Assistant Librarian, NHS Band 5 (full time, permanent)

Ideal as a first professional post, you will manage the enquiry desk service at our busy Royal Sussex County Hospital site, carry out in-depth evidence reviews and provide information skills teaching.  See NHS Jobs for more details.

Clinical Librarian, NHS Band 6 (full time, permanent)

Working alongside our existing clinical and specialist librarians, you will be assigned to specific teams in acute and community settings in order to embed evidence-based decision-making in practice.  Expert search skills and extensive experience of teaching, including critical appraisal, will be needed for the role.  See NHS Jobs for more details.

Primary Care Specialist Librarian, NHS Band 6 (full time, fixed for one year)

In this new post you will work closely with NHS staff in general practice and primary care, using expert search and appraisal skills to expand their use of evidence.  Regular travel throughout Brighton & Hove and the surrounding areas will be essential as you make contacts and work alongside this difficult-to-reach staff group.  See NHS Jobs for more details.
