Dear All,

The Department of German at the University of Kent is now accepting applications for its MA in Modern German and Comparative Literature. Alongside their studies in Kent, students enrolled on the MA will have the opportunity to participate in an internship scheme at the Deutsches Literaturarchiv Marbach (DLA) as part of their studies. Students will spend 1-2 months in Marbach, generously subsidised by the DLA, learning both how to use the archive for research and how archives work as institutions. The MA programme is thus suitable not only for students who intend to go on to do a PhD, but also for students interested in combining literary scholarship with practical experience of how cultural institutions work.
