Description:
You will work on and support the efficacy and mechanisms evaluation (EME) for targeted therapies theme of the Hub, which is led by Dr Richard Emsley (University of Manchester) and Dr Andrea Jorgensen (University of Liverpool). The explosion
in interest in targeted therapies, also known as stratified medicine, requires the complementary development of new methodology to assess the potential for stratifying treatments, and the underlying mechanism underpinning the stratification. This theme focuses
on the utility of predictive biomarker information for both treatment selection and the evaluation of treatment-effect mechanisms.
The post offers the opportunity for you to develop and establish their career. In particular, it is expected that you will seek a post-doctoral research fellowship in an area relevant to the stratified medicine theme.
The post is supervised by Richard Emsley (Lecturer in Biostatistics) and Graham Dunn (Professor of Biomedical Statistics).
You should have a PhD in biostatistics, statistics, mathematics or from other fields that contains substantial mathematical or statistical content, and a good (2:1 or above) honours degree (or non-UK equivalent) in a relevant statistical
or health science.
