Apologies for cross posting.  The University of Bristol, School of Social and Community Medicine is running the following course.

Introduction to Stata                         8-9 January 2015

By the end of the course students will be able to use Stata 13 to:

Find help about a given topic or command
Explore a dataset in a number of ways
Add labels to a dataset to make it self-documenting
Recode variables and derive new variables from existing ones
Reorganize and simplify a dataset and deal with missing values
Input data from a variety of sources
Combine two or more datasets
Produce summary statistics, tables and graphs
Keep a record of their work and ensure it is reproducible
And optionally deal with dates.

Please note:students will be given a brief introduction to some simple statistical commands; the focus of the course is not on the use of Stata for analytical purposes.
