The Business Analytics Discipline<http://sydney.edu.au/business/business_analytics> at the University of Sydney are currently seeking to appoint a permanent, full-time Lecturer/Senior Lecturer (Academic Level B/C) in Business Analytics, with expertise in statistical learning, machine learning, data mining, data science, analytic methods for big data, or a related field. In this position you will: * make a contribution to the research strengths of the school, including the pursuit of research grants and regular publication in journals of high standing * teach at undergraduate and postgraduate level to culturally-diverse cohorts, and develop curriculum * supervise research higher degree students * be involved in interdisciplinary collaborations within the University and with external stakeholders * contribute to academic administration. To be successful in this role you will need: * the completion of a PhD in Statistical Learning, Data Mining, Machine Learning, Data Science, Business Analytics or a related discipline * evidence of ability, or potential, to conduct high quality teaching in Statistics, Data Science and/or Business Analytics units, at undergraduate or postgraduate level * evidence of ability, or potential, to achieve research outcomes and publish in high quality international referred publications * evidence of ability, or potential, to attract research funding * evidence of successful teamwork and a collegial approach. (which includes a base salary Level B $93K - $111K p.a., leave loading and up to 17% employer's contribution to superannuation). Remuneration package Senior Lecturer: $135K - $156K p.a.
