Subject: ROTEMS and TEGS
Dear all
We have been approached by our emergency department about installing a ROTEM with in their department. We are a major trauma centre and it is believed that by performing this
test the Trust may be able to target blood products and components more effectively. Are any trusts out there using TEGS or ROTEMS in either ED or theatres for trauma. The latest NICE guidelines indicate further work is needed to confirm the use of the systems
for these patients but I would appreciate any input or experience for other POCT co-ordinators and managers
Many thanks
Helen Peat
