Dear all,

Please find details below of a reading being given by King’s writer-in-residence, Maja Haderlap, at the Austrian Cultural Forum next Thursday 27 November from 7pm.  Maja Haderlap is one of the most significant contemporary German-language authors and was awarded the highly prestigious Bachmann prize in 2011 for her debut novel Engel des Vergessens (Angel of Forgetting). It tells the story of a family from the Carinthian Slovenian population of Austria against the backdrop of the minority's resistance against National Socialism. The trilingual reading will be followed by a discussion and Q&A with the author, whose work encompasses poetry, essays, translations and fiction.
