Working almost exclusively through her own production company, Wellpark Productions, Sue has directed and produced close to 20 documentaries, including the award-winning My Street (2009) and Mum and Me (2008). Most recently, in 2013 Channel 4 broadcast her film Fabulous Fashionistas - about the lives of six style-conscious women with an average age of 80, who each challenge cultural presumptions about getting old - to huge acclaim. The Centre for Research in Film and Audiovisual Cultures (CRFAC) is delighted to welcome Sue to the University of Roehampton for a screening of Fabulous Fashionistas, where she will be interviewed by Deborah Jermyn about the making and reception of the film, before a Q&A about her career and approaches to documentary filmmaking.
