Diwylliant a Thlodi - Ymateb Llywodraeth Cymru
 
Bydd Cymru yn arwain ar ddefnyddio diwylliant er mwyn helpu i fynd i'r afael â thlodi, meddai’r Dirprwy Weinidog dros Ddiwylliant, Chwaraeon a Thwristiaeth, Ken Skates wrth iddo amlinellu ymateb Llywodraeth Cymru i'r adroddiad arloesol Diwylliant a Thlodi gan y Farwnes Kay Andrews OBE.

Wrth siarad yn y Senedd, dywedodd y Dirprwy Weinidog ei fod yn cymeradwyo'r adroddiad a'i argymhellion ac roedd yn falch fod Cymru wedi cymryd yr awenau wrth dynnu sylw at y rôl flaenllaw gall ddiwylliant ei chwarae wrth fynd i'r afael â thlodi. Mae ymateb Llywodraeth Cymru i'r adroddiad yn nodi'n fanwl y cynnydd a wnaed hyd yma ar rai o'r argymhellion a sut y bydd eraill yn cael eu datblygu. Amlinellodd y Dirprwy Weinidog hefyd gynigion i sefydlu Ardaloedd Arloesi ar draws Cymru, lle bydd sefydliadau diwylliannol yn cysylltu â grwpiau cymunedol a chlystyrau Cymunedau yn Gyntaf er mwyn caniatáu i’r sawl sydd yn byw mewn rhai o'n cymunedau mwyaf difreintiedig i elwa ar fanteision cyfranogiad diwylliannol.

Culture and Poverty - Welsh Government Response
 
Wales will take the lead in utilising culture to help tackle poverty, the Deputy Minister for Culture, Sport and Tourism, Ken Skates has said as he outlined the Welsh Government’s response to the ground-breaking Culture and Poverty report by Baroness Kay Andrews OBE.
 
Speaking in the Senedd, the Deputy Minister said he endorsed the report and its recommendations and was proud Wales had taken the lead in highlighting the powerful role culture can play in tackling poverty. The Welsh Government response to the report sets out in detail progress made to date on some of the recommendations and how others will be taken forward. The Deputy Minister also outlined proposals to establish Pioneer Areas across Wales, where cultural organisations will link with community groups and Communities First clusters to allow those in some of our most deprived communities to reap the benefits of cultural participation.
