Colleagues, would you agree with me that this message that came to me from the USA based migrant Clinicians network is somewhat remarkable? Why are we not having this kind of message in Europe? I think we need to think again within our networks. (Juneda, Allan-please be good enough to circulate, if you think it would be of interest to the group.)

Happy Thanksgiving!

We are thankful for the farmworkers who provide food for our Thanksgiving dinner

Dear Raj,

As we gather with friends and family to enjoy a wonderful feast together, we at Migrant Clinicians Network would like to spend some time to send
thanks to the thousands of migrant and seasonal farmworkers who grew and harvested the food on our plates

Most farmworkers earn annual incomes below the poverty level, and half earn below $7,500 per year. These are proud people who choose to do backbreaking labor rather than depend upon charity or welfare. Without their hard work on America’s fields, much of our Thanksgiving table would be bare!

Migrant Clinicians Network is there to support clinicians working with mobile populations, to help these workers stay safe and healthy. Our innovative programs connect clinicians to each other and provide tools and resources so that they can do their job more effectively and efficiently.

Please help us by supporting the network that in turn supports migrant farmworker health.
Make a small donation -- just a few dollars -- to give thanks this year.

With gratitude,
The Team at Migrant Clinicians Network
