Dear all,

Apologies for cross-posting.

I just wanted to remind you that the Library A to Z launched this week.

The intention of the Library A to Z is:

To provide a range of free promotional and advocacy materials that can be used by libraries and their supporters. The materials are based around a visual alphabet of library activities, resources and the benefits libraries provide. They feature great art work by Josh Filhol. http://libraryatoz.org/index.php/materials/

To highlight the continued relevance of libraries to politicians and library policymakers at local, national and international level. We are doing this partly by sending out copies of the Library A to Z book to almost 100 key policymakers. This includes all members of the UK Cabinet, leaders of all major parties in England, Ireland, Scotland and Wales, and members of parliamentary groups and committees with a focus on libraries. The Library A to Z book is intended to act as an encouragement for those who might be less supportive of libraries, and as an advocacy tool that can be used by those who are already supporters. The list of people we have sent books to can be found here: https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/1875601273/library-a-to-z-illustrations-book-and-advocacy-too/posts/1054402

We are encouraging people to follow up the posting out of these books by contacting the politicians to find out their reaction to the Library A to Z and most importantly ask how they intend to show their support for libraries.

Thank you,

Gary Green
