Information Officer (Fixed Term for 2 years)

£31,342 to £37,394

You will assist an innovative IT organisation with its knowledge and information management requirements and have experience of records management, document management or archival management. You will demonstrate strategies for organisational knowledge retention and be able to effectively transfer skills to improve the productivity of others in a support role.

You will be a key actor in a project established by EDINA’s management team to consolidate its information and knowledge assets and establish long-term archives, both electronic and print-based. The newly created post will focus on the requirements of the organisation to support its sustainability and efficiency, including provision of support to staff members in their use of information technologies and strategies to enhance the productivity of the organisation as a whole.

You should have a degree in Information Management or Information & Library Science / Studies or have relevant experience, with significant experience working in a Library, Archive, or an organisation in information/ knowledge/ document management. You will have excellent communication skills (both written and verbal) and the ability to keep up-to-date and adapt/transfer skills to use with the latest Internet and social networking applications and emerging information technologies.

This is a full-time, fixed term post for 2 years.
